Covid 19 Update
Due to Governor Roy Cooper's modification of Phase 2, to exclude gyms (with little notice to business owners) we are forced to modify, not only our plans to open, but our business format as a whole.
Please Read the Following:
The Gym will not reopen for exercise until legally permitted to do so based on "Section 8 Orders of Closure". Violation is subject to and is punishable as a Class 2 Misdemeanor. Roy Cooper said we will move to phase 3 in 5 weeks and gyms may not even be permitted to open then.
City Fitness Tanning and Retail Business within City Fitness is excluded from Cooper's Mandate and will open based on our published hours and in accordance with Requirements for Retail Businesses.
City Fitness can, and will hold outside group classes for up to 25 members and in accordance to Cooper's Mandates.
We will reinstate the bank drafts June 15th, based on numerous requests, to hopefully avoid being forced out of business by Roy Cooper as we cannot legally operate and earn a living as a gym. If you would like to freeze your draft, we understand and can assist you in the process via email, phone, or in person. Please Note*** City Fitness is the only gym in Lexington that has not drafted members for closure to this point. Other gyms have continued to draft since the closure, while we have held off as long as we can without being forced out of business.
Since we are not permitted to open as a Gym, we will repurpose our facility to; City Fitness Equipment and Sales until we may reopen as a gym. We will open our repurposed facility Saturday May 23rd. Click below for more details.
